Senate Primary Poll

With candidates in and candidates out it's time for a new Senate poll.

Vote now between Jane Norton, Ken Buck, Tom Wiens and Cleve Tidwell.

Last time was a close race between Cleve Tidwell who edged out Ryan Frazier by about 2% in a very popular poll with almost 1,200 votes. Will Cleve keep his crown this time or will a new winner emerge. Tom Wiens and Jane Norton have since entered the race with money and backing while Frazier has left to run against Perlmutter.

E-mail your friends to vote for your choice.

This poll will run for two weeks.

  1. You should have added a None of the Above option.

  2. Regardless of how this poll turns out, one has to look at the success that Tom Wiens is having so early into his candidacy. He seems to be the real deal! I'm finally excited about this race with him involved. www.tomwiens2010.com

  3. I thought so too about Wiens, until I actually saw him speak. He isn't in it for the people. You get votes by sticking with principle, telling people why you need to go the Washington and what you'll do, not by the money and operatives in the campaign that make expensive commericals and websites.

  4. I find the last comment very contradictory to everything I have seen and heard from Wiens in recent weeks. I would point directly an interview he did on 9news' "Your Show". I believe here he outlines very clearly his specific plans, why is the principled candidate and also why he is the one that the people of Coloraod should put their trust in. www.tomwiens2010/video/index.asp?MultimediaID=13

Additionally, as a former State Senator he was consistently one of the few politicians that would listen and respond to the "people's" needs. He has very strong record to prove that.

Finally, with regard to "commercials and websites". The republican party has to do everything it can to catch up to the strategy the other side uses to organize, communicate and engergize would be voters. Wiens' emphasis on taking his message directly to the "people", is not only smart it's effective.

  5. He's a crooked rancher, not one of us. I want a straight forward, no debts to anyone business man in there.

  6. Sounds like somebody has a petty grudge. I would bet for every crooked story you've heard there are 200 more that point to the man's true character.

I agree with the above statements about Wiens' message and who he really is. Honest and a politician with a true heart for the people he serves.

I supported him as my state rep and senator and I know what someone who listens and fights for the people can get done!!! A Lot! After all it takes more than business experience to represent the people of Colorado.

  7. Agree. It also takes successes and failures to build character. What I like about Tom Wiens is that he is honest about his successes and setbacks. I think that sort of vulnerability and honesty also points to the fact that Wiens' really does understand the people.

  8. I heard Tom Weins at Candidate Search 2010 in Loveland. He seemed very in tune with the people. Cleve Tidwell and Ken Buck were also rather impressive. We are fortunate to have such good candidates running, as long as Jane Norton and her DC support doesn't steal the vote from the people.

  9. I stand with Cleve Tidwell.

Though I do not live in Colorado, I can say from what I have seen from the outside clearly shows Tidwell is the best candidate. People will say he's too southern to win or he's not the best candidate to beat the democrat incumbent. Do you know what I say? WRONG.

Cleve has the experience as a businessman to lead our country out of this economic mess and into a time where the free market system is stronger than ever. Cleve will not be 1/100th of the problem, Cleve will be 1/100th of the solution in the Senate if you give him the chance to be elected.

I ask every single one of you to stand with Cleve Tidwell, the Conservative choice and truly the American choice for Colorado's next Senator.

  10. We need people in Washington who can foster success, as well problem-solve when things are tough. . . like now. Tom Weins seems to have a strong record with both. I like that his voting record has proven consistent on all of the major issues. It sounds to me like he just wants to serve our best interests all the way from his farm to Washington. How novel! I'm on board!

  11. Get one of the people elected, go CLEVE TIDWELL!

He is a business man, a Marine, a priviate citizen. Who knows and understands the problems better then this guy who's lived through tough times and good times, who's had to work his way through trials, who knows how to fix the economy, who is driven to help the people, not for a title.

Cleve Tidwell is by far the best choice and the campaign is getting together. By the convention he will be the clear favorite.

You must be small minded to rule this man out. And if you're choosing a candidate based on funds raised you are an idiot! Whoever wins this nomination will be getting millions, so it's petty to choose on the basis of money and Washington connections.

CLEVE TIDWELL PEOPLE! The REAL choice to REAL solutions!

  12. Is anyone else noticing that whenever a vote is cast for another candidate besides Tidwell, he (Tidwell) jumps 1 or 2 votes. Just wondering if there is some program running that is causing this behavior? Not accusing, just noticing a pattern.

  13. The reason Cleve's is jumping like that is because it's being posted everywhere. You can find the link all over the web so people are just flowing in and voting like that. There is no computer program out there spamming the poll. It's legit.

  14. Hmmm after looking at the comment above I noticed that the poll was allowing me to vote twice. This is odd because earlier when I voted it didn't seem to tally my vote. Probably not a big deal as online polls aren't the most credible source for gaging voter sentiment.

  15. I didn't notice any problems. Maybe it's an issue of which browser you're using or if you are voting using a smart phone?

  16. As a college student in Colorado I along with many other of my fellow students support Tom Wiens!!!!

  17. It may seem like you can vote twice, but you actually can NOT. Every time you come back to the page you have to "vote" to see the results, but that does not actually change the results.

  18. I disagree with the above comment about polls not being credible. If you can only vote once then this is good judge of voter sentiment.

  19. I listended to Tom Wiens speak. He is just the same old Republican BS. Tell the people what they want to hear and then I will do what the F I want. I am angry. I hate politicians. They make me sick with there BS. The only thing I want to hear out of a candidates mouth is Cut taxes, Cut spending, stay out of the people's business. I tell you now, if I hear anything else from a candidate, I will vote for the biggest liberal A hole I can find. If this country wants to hit rock bottom, then I will help them get there as quick as I can.
